Timber decks weather quickly in the Australian sun and grey off, while shaded decks can grow mould and algae. Cleaning removes grime and growth and prepares the timber for re-oiling or staining.
What our deck cleaning service covers
- Hardwood and treated pine decks
- Composite decking
- Deck stairs and balustrade rails (wipe or low-pressure rinse)
Benefits
- Removes grey weathering, dirt and mould
- Prepares the surface for oiling or staining
- Safer, less slippery surface
How we approach the job
Timber is softer than it looks. High pressure can raise the grain and leave furring and marks, so we clean decks with low pressure and a suitable deck cleaner, working along the boards. Composite decking is cleaned according to the manufacturer's guidance where available.
Things to know before you book
- Re-oiling or staining is a separate service and is not included unless agreed.
- Timber needs to dry fully before any coating is applied.
